Brembo brake opinions

so im almost due for new rotors and pads up front. i was wondering as far as what people have run for oem, brembo replacement, or aftermarket rotors and what pads to use?
i work at infiniti so i know how much oem pads and rotors cost so thats a no-go. i can get Brembo slotted rotors for bout $360/pr and oem brembo pads for around $120. i would like to see if what aftermarket rotors *that are x-drilled/slotted* are decent stuff and what pads are good and low dust with good life *mutech, ebc, hawk, etc*. so just lemme know what stuff ur running and how u like it as far as life, dust, and performance. thanx guysss

I run Centric Premium blank rotors up front with OEM pads. Works just like OEM rotors, only 1/6 the cost. These are the rotors that Stoptech uses as the basis for their slotted rotors, but I don't need slots for the street. So far extremely happy with this combo. You can find them at Rockauto.com for ~$70, or on Tire Rack.

true, i was thinkin of gettin the stoptech slotted rotors for like $180 on ebay and tryin the hawk ceramic pads.....i was just mainly concerned with the dust and life of them. ive ran the generic drilled/slotted rotors on other cars of mine with no problems before so i dont see it bein an issue on the coupe. you can get a full set of rotors for like $250 on ebay.

Yes. They are $67/rotor at Rockauto.com before shipping.

+1 on the Centric Rotors on my 2003 Coupe. For pads I went with a set of Stoptech Street Performance pads. Cost installed was less than a 1/4 what the dealership wanted and the brake performance is excellent.

I use the OEM brembo rotors, I was looking for OEM Brembo blanks but couldn't find them so I settled for the brembo drilled rotors. Pads are Hawk HPS. These pads last a long time, provide excellent stopping power and are also low dust.
The bad is the expense, about $1000.00 for rotors and pads.

I just removed a set of aftermarket rotors that was on the car for about a year because they warped, went back to Brembo rotors.
Big problem with cross drilled rotors is they are more prone to warp than non drilled.
