my 05 G35 needs a new power booster

don't know if this happened to anyone else but i have a hard time braking in the beginning of the day or when its cold outside and i have to start the car again. the more i step on the brakes the more stiff it gets...and it gets to the point where the brakes are almost all the way up!
the crasy thing is after i pump the brakes for a few minutes it always gets better and i continue driving like nothing happened.
i took it to few different places and they said 90% its the power booster. but they said the cars too new to have this kind of issue wtf...just my luck or what.
anyway just thought yall wanna know and was wondering if anyone has this problem before or if there was any advice on how i can save a few bucks on how to solve the issue.

I think power boosters are relatively cheap, if I'm not mistaken. Installation will probably run you more than the actual unit itself.

is this something i can just do myself? i'm not really good at DIY projects on cars but if its easy enough i will do it. if theres a pix of step by step some where please let me know...sorry for the trouble.
i got an estimit of it and it was about $650 not including labor at the dealership.
