I have that same problem. I have an '06 as well. From what i've found on the net...it's a common problem.

Basically the first pump is spongy, and the 2nd pump firms the brakes up.

I find that in park, if i sit and mash the pedal to the floor hard 20-30 times in a row, the pedal will firm up nicely for a day or two...and then go back to being spongy.

I've bled before, but i am gonna try it this spring by pulling the ABS fuse first and then rebleeding

I made a thread about this a while ago after bringing it in to the dealer and finding no help

Does the 05+ has different calipers?


I just did this on my car and experience the same. Check the bleeding and everything is right. It's definitely softer and more foot travel than what I used to feel in my car.
