Angry Megan racing coilover help !!! !!!!!!????

I recently bought 350z megan racing track coils and now after install, I have a miserable clunk occurring from my driver side. After taking all the suspension apart even compression rods etc. Nothing is really messed up so I put it all back together and it still occurred. After some more investigation i pushed up and down on the car and finally found out that the upper strut mount nut ( big nut in the middle ) had about .2" of play. I have tried everything even a impact wrench, but nothing . Now I have it apart and noticed that I have no thread left to go deeper into the cylinder. This is weird, because the other side is fine and the preloads and height are on spec to each other. Can someone help me figure this out? Or be the first to tell me that I'm retarted and the problem is something dumb

Did you have something to keep the rod from spinning while you were tightening the top nut? Otherwise you could just be spinning the rod instead of tightening the nut. I used a wrench (6-7mm) at the very top to keep the rod from spinning and another wrench to turn the nut.

If that doesn't help, check that you didn't strip the threads. There was a warning sticker on my D-Specs that said not to use an impact wrench.

5.00 says you stripped the nut or bolt or both....take the nut off and inspect the threads. Any shop can help you fix the issue quickly....see my dspec thread for more info

The Megan's use a allen and 17mm wrench combo for the top nut to keep the rod from spinning, but i can not seem to get it to go further.

Tiguy you can paypal the 5 to me. I took the upper mount and nut off the rod is fine along with the nut.

anything is better then nothing.. Also i raised it up ( preload and ride height today ) 1" on the preload and 1.5" ride height and magically I no longer have an issue.

have you ever gotten into an accident in the area of issue? Some damage might be throwing off the fitment.

yeah thats my theory the car was in an accident on that side, I need to replace the compression rods on both side so maybe that has something to do with it.
