New Suspension - clunking on driver side front

I just replaced my 06 G35 Sedan springs to the Z/G Coupe setup with tokico D-spec struts that i purchased used. There is a clunking noise on the driver side front after they were installed over the lightest of bumps. Something seemed loose. It seems to be loudest at low speed and I cant hear it at highway speeds(maybe due to tire and wind noise). I took the car back to have the strut looked at and the installer said it could be bad internals of the strut, and tightened everything back down and torqued to max(65lbs for the d-spec) but i think it might be the strut mount even though it didnt make noise when the stock suspension was on. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot would be nice. Do I buy a new mount, strut or both? Thanks
