Quick Shock Question

Hi,

I've been researching all the shock and spring info here lately and wanted to confirm something. I have Tanabe DF210 (coupe) springs and am having a hell of a time finding some Tokico HPs to go with them. Stillen had me waiting 2 weeks before letting me know they unavailable and back ordered with no timeframe. Every other online retalier I've tried has the same issue w/ Tokico.

I learned from the forum here, that the 350Z shocks are best for a drop that low because they are meant for the Z which sits lower to begin with and the OEM ones would be under too much stress. I like the HPs cuz they're simple, straight forward and relatively cheap.

Question: Does anyone have any suggestions, besides the HPs that will work just as well with these springs?

Thanks!

Not quite sure the HPs are the best choice either. ARe the DF210's spring rates higher than stock? The HPs were designed around the non-sport sedan springs from what I read.

I think you're right. They are softer than OEM. To bo honest, I was looking for a stance like another member has. Not to be a biter or anything. Ha

They used the DF210s with OEM shocks. I was thinking of going that route also, but figured the Tokicos would be more durable and relatively similar.

I have the df210s on my coupe. I have also had them with both the g35 Tokico HPs and the 350z Tokico HPs.

I would highly recommend the G35 version of the HPs. The ride is much better. My 350z HPs handle like a go kart but they are pretty stiff.

Remember the DF210s are about the same stiffness as stock springs. And the Tokico HPs are 30% stiffer than OEM shocks. So the G35 HPs and the DF210s was a great choice.

That's what I'm thinking. I might have I found a set for the Z though from Horsepowerfreaks.com, we'll see what happens. Ha
