convert 2004 Sedan to 05/06 OEM brakes

Hi all

I've read lots of posts about converting the brake setup from an 05/06 G to the 03/04's. What I couldn't find was what parts besides the calipers, rotors and pads are needed? I'm looking into getting used calipers from someone who is upgrading their 05/06.

Thanks

I think Jeff92se did a bit of a DIY on upgrading his brakes to Z units, should be a similar parts list. Search or hit him up.

Rotors are different, front caliper and pad are different, but the rear caliper and pad are the same as 03-04.

And you have your description wrong. You want to upgrade to the 05-06 from the 03-04.

For my car, your are incorrect.

According to one of the sticky threads:
'03 and '04 Sedan, '04 and '05 Sedan X
Front: 11.7-inch X 0.9-inch power-assisted vented disc - 1 piston
Rear: 11.5-inch X 0.6-inch power-assisted vented disc - 1 piston

'05+ Sedan and Coupe, '06 Sedan X
Front: 12.6-inch X 1.1-inch power-assisted vented disc - 2 pistons
Rear: 12.1-inch X .63-inch power-assisted vented disc - 1 piston

That looks different to me...

Not sure what your reading in the title of the post, but whatever

1) Search threads I've created in this brake section.

2) The rear caliper itself is the same, pad is the same. But the caliper BRACKET is differrent to accomodate the larger rear rotor.

You need to remove or cut the dust shield. but it's in my thread

This is great, thanks. I think I saw that thread when I searched but it was referencing the Z, so I wasn't sure if it would be applicable.

I was responding to your post, not the thread title. But no big deal, just a typo. I'm getting ready to do this myself.
