Setting Droop?

So when installing my coils (f&f - oem style) I initially just set the length of the struts to slightly shorter than the stock struts, but I recently called f&f and asked them if there was a correct height for it. There response was that it didn't matter and that it controlled "droop" which they say just matters for what angle you want your tire to hang when you lift your car up.

I couldn't find much info searching around for what to set your droop to and was wondering if it does at all matter what length I set the strut at, and what some other people running oem style coilovers have set the strut length at.

It makes a difference in how far the suspension can extend at full travel. The time's I've heard people whine about even slight differances in droop has came from people that had a history of selling aftermarket products they modified that gee guess what,.. didn't have full height adjustablity. I really don't see you making enough of a change to worry about it. I would have spent more time on product choice then this one detail, sorry.

I have run a Truechoice coilover setup that had specially shortened dampers, the droop on that setup was 2" less. Never had a issue, best handling system I've owned to date, to bad the ride quality in the real world was the worst I've ever had (valving related, not droop related).

Thanks, I'm not unhappy with my choice of product, rather I am just trying to find out from the knowledgeable G community whether or not what I set it to even matters in any way. What I'm getting from you is that it doesn't matter at all which helps confirm what the rep told me, thanks.
