question about coilover installation
Are they easier to install than springs? and are true type easier to install than oem? Also is it necessary to buy new cotter pins before installing them?
Cotter pins for what?
They are the same to install IF you have a spring compressor and air tools. If you don't have a spring compressor then coil install is easier because it's a direct swap. If you put springs onto stock struts you have to compress them to get them back on the car.
Coils are easier IMO.

Ahh I see, I heard that it was necessary to replace your cotter pins when switching out your coils or springs because the old ones will break or something.
Also I already have lowering springs right now. I'm just swapping them out to coilovers. So will I still need a spring compressor?

You might, but I didn't replace any pins on mine, I don't know what you would need to replace them on lol
And no the strut and spring will fall out when you unbolt the rear mount. You only need a spring compressor usually when installing the springs. just to get the top of the strut back onto the fronts struts.
^ cotter pins are metal pins with two ears that bend backwards and lock things into position. Do a google image search and you're recognize them. They're on axles and **** you don't want slipping.

Pins for the front camber arm I'm assuming? I reused mine fine. Also true type will be a bit easier to install but as far as just installing I wouldn't make that a deciding factor of which to get. I personally would choose true type but my budget wasn't set for the true types that I would've gone for so instead I went for a budget option with oem style. Not too big of a deal either way.
