Rear Dampening Adjusting
Rear Dampening Adjusting
I recently installed a set of Tanabe Pro Five on my 05 coupe over the weekend and I was wondering what would be the easiest way to adjust rear dampening without taking out the strut. Ive searched on the forum and have seen a few threads about cutting a hole but theyre on sedans and not coupes and about hearing extensions and such but Tanabe dont offer those and I wont be buying the TEAS anytime soon.
So my question is where would I cut the hole/square (Tanabes dont have an allen wrench adjustment but have their own little **** you install on them. So I would have to fit two fingers in there to adjust) to reach the top of the strut? And what interior/trunk pieces would I have to remove? Pics would help

Ah yes they do.. How do you like them btw?? I was thinking of getting pro 5 and get the TEAS. I had EDFC before on my older cars... but I didn't like how I can't change the dampening on the fly. Unlike the TEAS it changes depending on the speed... LOL and the fact that I get lazy going out under the car or in the back changing the dampening settings.
TBH, i love them. Ive had a wide variety of coilovers on my past cars. But the Pro Five keep up with the other more expensive brands IMHO. Sure they cant drop you as much as you want them too, but i got out of the "how low can you go?" crowd when my honda got stolen. As of now im sitting right on tire in the front and about a finger gap in the rear on my OEM 19s with stock tire size.
Im planning on doing a review on these coilovers since i dont seem many people run them and on the Ichiba camber kits. So keep an eye out for it.
