Go ahead and change out the HPS pads. You will never go back to Hawk HPS after you try the PM pads. I had over 50% left on my stock pads but changed them out b/c oem pads suck imo. Bring back the Brembos!!

I have project mu ns pads only on the rear on my akebonos and they are amazing. Better initial bite and better overall performance than the akeboneo pads that came stock with the car. There is little dust and I have zero noise in over 3k miles. Project mu's next step up is the B-force pad, which is made for street and some track. If you don't do any track days, stick with the NS pads.

I also looked into the Endless SSY pads as they also got good reviews. Don't get cheap brake pads b/c a $500 deductible will cost you so much more in the long run.
Project mu is sounding better and better for my driving needs (little brake dust, no noise, good bite). If anyone can say other wise, looks like projct mu it is. What is a fair price I am looking at for these?

It depends on what type of pad that you want..there is NS Type, B force, and others..all for different driving needs...street, street and track, and track...I ordered myself the B force pads...I have hawk HPS and the initial bite when they are cold sucks..I want something that has a better bite I only daily my car...

Before you make your final decision, I would also take a good look at Carbotech. http://www.ctbrakes.com/

Thanks but they are almost the same price as the mu ns pads. I haven't seen much reviews of these from people on here. Man all these options are making me overwhelmed and a little voice in my head is saying just go oem

thanks for the input I just hope the B force pads don't eat up my rotors...When I was looking at what pads to buy from them I saw that the B force pads from Project Mu are their best street pad..The next step up would have been getting into there race pads...just hope they don't wear down my rotors to quickly...

Dude I am telling you, just get the Stop-Tech pads or the Centric Posi-Quiet ceramics with shims. You wont regret either one I think.

idrive, I saw your review on the stoptech street performance pads. They seem like a good pad for a good price. They are the same price as oem but better performance, so why not? Any comments on dust? Im almost positive I will run with these.

I think racingbrake.com has their own available for the Z/G
Yeah, I've never seen a dealer shim kit for the fronts, at least for the Brembo set up.. Often shims are acoustically tuned for a specific set of pads, but I'm guessing it won't make much of a difference - any squeaking on your end with the Stoptechs?

I have used both of them before...

The Hawks suck!! The gripe was horrible even after driving for awhile. They would not grab at all. There were times when i almost had the brake pedal all the way down and it was still going... The hawks made a lot of dust and squeal all the time. With the hawks i ran Rotora slotted rotors on all 4 corners.

As for the Project Mu. I got the NS pads. Since the Type B-force is geared more towards street and track. So far the pads are good. Brake dust is minimal. Stopping is a lot better now. But once in a while i will get some squeak, but its not too bad. I get them while i am reversing most of the time tho, not when the car is moving forward braking motion. With these pads im using stock OEM front rotors and rotora rear slotted rotors.

On the side note... ( If you can PM me)
I was wondering do you have any pictures of your drop? Im looking to put in some Sedan H-Tech to lower the front a little more. And did you install any front camber kit?

Depending on how much you want to spend you can look into Performance stage kits

http://mynismo.com/products/Default.asp?id=5582

for a little more than a 100 you can get stainless steel lines and fluid with project mu ns pads...
