So, I swapped my 350z springs back to non-sport set up
Just wanted to share my insights on suspension set ups-
My 05 sedan has been running the typical 350Z spring lowered set up since I got the car 4 year ago. I bought it used with 19k miles on the non-sport shocks/springs (Looking like this).

I lowered it as I put on my current rim/tire combo for a better look and handling. It looked like this after I was done-

Four year later, I'm sick of the ride quality. I've tracked my car at a few roadcourses and loved the handling there and more aggressive look. The daily drive over potholes, expansion joints and rough asphalt patches has just worn me down. I'm tired of swerving aroung anything that might go BUMP in this car. Add in the camber issues I've recently had with the front tires and my mind was set.
The car sits about an inch higher which doesn't looks as good, but not as bad as it did with the OEM tire/rims. I upsized and it fills the opening a bit better than the 17 inchers did (no new pics yet). It's much easier to get in and out of the car as I'm 6'2. The ride is incredibly improved. The car's rattles are almost gone and I feel like I'm riding on a cloud. A trackday in 2 weeks will decide if I stick with this set up or not.

Non sport sedan shocks are about as poor of a oem shock as you can get. Valving that doesn't tiddy up things you need tied up and yet you still do not get a like trade off in improved ride comfort. Yes, impact hashness would deminish with the original springs vs slightly stiffer and lower oem Z springs. And I understand that is was a free swap. But knowing how the oem non sport shocks are valved, your track day fun is only going to be a fraction of what they could be should you get a better valved shock under the car. And that does NOT mean going back to the same issues that caused you to do the whole swap in the first place.
A better choice would be Tokico D-specs. Set them to 3 or lower from full soft as a daily driver. Consider turning them up as warranted for your track day's.
