Juice? (aka Hydraulics)
Has anyone thought of using hydraulics on their G? Air suspension is quite common and I figured I might try out something different. I'm pretty sure the first thing that comes to people's minds are a crappy ride, 3 wheelin', etc. but I'm really considering this option. There's a guy in Japan that has it on his G (on youtube) but I wouldn't base it off that.
There's also another company, Skipper, that makes them for various Japenese vehicles, but I think they're located in Japan, whereas Hydroholics is located in Arizona.
Seems like another good option. I'm considering going with Hydroholics. Can anyone here chime in with their knowledge if it would be a viable option. Curious as to why nobody has installed it on their vehicle.

Ur G, if u wanna do it, go for it....I would like to bag mine...CCE hydraulics is another company that does good work...The have a location out in Vegas I think....Wouldn't it require more batteries for Hydraulics to run the pumps? Depending on how u run it... Pitbull Hydraulics has good things too I hear...

Both essentially use air, but juice is driven by oil. Downfall to it is that you have to replace the oil every 6 months, but no need to worry a bout bags leaking air or popping. You also get much more height adjustment.
I'm not talking about using it to make it hop. Just want it for height adjustment and I believe it wouldn't need the spring bucket, which is helpful for me in my case since I have toe arms. That alone would save me quite a bit of money since I wouldn't have to modify the spring bucket for my extreme camber (but that's just in my case). They also use up less space.

From what I heard, it weighs less since there are less components. Some of the setups I've seen only have one additional battery. I believe the tank is also much smaller. Here's a pic of it:

Installed in a C class Benz:

In these two pics you can get a general idea of the size in relation to other things:

Air suspension takes are about twice as big, maybe more. Then you have your compressors.

Ride quality depends on the parts used though and how (and who) did the install. A lot of the lowriders use helper springs, in which case they don't use the accumulators (6 black little things you see in the pic) since it slows down the system. They use it for hopping, etc. Those will have a bouncy ride since there are no accumulators. You can adjust ride quality with the accumulators since the accumulators are what controls the rebound.

ive thought about this too .
i wish i could get a feel of both (air, hydra) to determine which would be a better ride ..
and which would be less maintenance and more reliable ..

^^Saw the car in person a month ago, it's super clean. I say go with the juice man, I'm all about the different mods people are afraid to do, it's what makes our cars unique and stand apart from the rest.

You know me Rick, always wanting to do something different. Once I get the chance, probably in October I'll head out to where he's at and see how it rides since I know how it is with air suspension.
