Talking Custom Painted Rotora 6 Piston 355mm BBK Project

A friend of mine, BlueVelvet, hooked me up with a barely used set of 6 piston 355mm Rotora Big Brake kit during my birthday last month.
But, with a culmination of my friend giving me a good deal, me wanting and me always wanting the more aggressive look of an aftermarket BBK setup, I pulled the trigger!

Blue does not match with the pearl red paint job of my car so I disassembled it to prep and paint it. Gold goes well with red much better

The main bolts were a pain to break loose. The 3/8" impact ratchet wouldn't work so I had to bust out 1/2" impact wrench

Using ScotchBrite to scuff the original finish so that new finish could properly adhere

6 pistons > 4 Pistons

"JDM" Rainbow Chrome decals, courtesy of Harris Evangelista @ Instyle Graphics - http://www.instylegraphics.com

For those, that have not seen "JDM" Raindbow chrome stickers, it looks like regular chrome most of the time and changes color at certain light angles.

The custom high sparkle gold paint that we are going to use for the calipers

Thanks guys! Does anyone on here have any experience with reassembling these? I am afraid of not giving it enough torque and have it fail on me

They should. BBK's usually don't get hot from daily driving. Even the stock Brembos are way cool to touch after a drive.

Don't over torque the bolts. I would do it by hand to and not the torque gun. Use locktite on all the bolts when reassembling them. +1 for pics!

are those the oem blue calipers that you get from rotora? they look more greyish blue, is it a custom finish? the blue i've seen for the rotora was a very vivid blue, like a true blue. or is it because of the lighting?
