Cheap BBK for 2003 coupe
Cheap BBK for 2003 coupe
After some research and finding a really cheap alternative to a BBK (sort of) upgrade for my 2003 V35 (I am in Malaysia) coupe, I finally bought a pair of used Nissan Skyline R34 GTT front brakes. The discs are 310mm in diameter and 30mm thick with Nissan 4 pots in the front.
I paid USD200 for them (Front brakes with calipers, disc and pads(85%) ) and another USD50 to get them skimmed and installed. It was plug and play. No modification needed.
The results were great... looks much better then the original 1 pot brakes and feels good.
I am too lazy to respray the calipers and I know.... my rims needs respraying too...
I did respray the discs with high temp silver though...

I know... but the intention is to paint the whole disc so it does not rust. I know the paint will come off where the pads touch the disc...

This seems to be a good alternative to spending time masking off a perfect circle in the middle of the rotor. Just paint the whole fukking thing and let the pads define the area where the paint NEEDS to be to prevent rust. I hate rusty rotors.
