which coilovers should i go for?
Maybe post your absolute max budget. Quite honestly, cheaping out on coilovers ends up being an expensive mistake because you end up with two sets!
Save up for quality coilovers. From feedback, when the time comes I'm going for Form and Function Type 2.
1000 bucks.

You'd be better off going with springs. Maybe some S-Techs, Eibach Pro Kit, or some H&R's or something like that.
With springs, you probably won't need a camber kit. Quite possibly a rear kit, but it all depends on what springs you get.

Is the quality noticeably different? Or features?

In all seriousness you will have to spend a little more than the F&F or the BC coils if you want a comfortable ride. I bought the Tanabe Pro 5 series and they ride very well. Smooth and comfortable but you definitely can't slam your car with these coils.
Thanks for that.
My drop will be rather conservative but my primary concern is ride quality and rather easy adjustability in dampening for any track/mountain run days. I don't want or need to drop 3K on coils but if they're worthwhile and very solid construction, I'd have no problem saving and dishing out the cash in the right direction.

I got mine from B2autodesigns and they were less than $1200. Here are some pics of the drop on my car. They only had about 1/2" left to drop in the front and back.

Unless you get coilovers with extensions to adjust, but I have heard mixed reviews about those...
Errr... do you have a sedan? If so ya you can do without the special features, but coupes it is locked in a little welded box for some well thought out reason.
