How far did you drive on the original rear rotors before replacement?

I've never been a fan of turning rotors. If they've "warped" (not really the correct term) then the vibration issue is going to reoccur again. The rotor thickness might be in spec, but they're already compromised. IMO, it's time to get rid of them. I've never had rotor problems on any of my cars except for one set of rotors on my wife's 98 LGT wagon that I bedded incorrectly. Within 2K miles, the rotors were vibrating under high speed braking.

If your rotors have 62K miles, it's time to replace them.

The rear rotors should be able to go 100K+ in most cases. Only about 30% of the braking power comes from the rear. My 03's rear rotors with 86K miles and with a handful of auto-x events are still well within spec. If you start seeing a lip on the edge of the rotor, then it's definitely time to start measuring rotor thickness.

I have that too, apparently it might be a glazed rotor, are your rotors very reflective? I am still not really sure how to tell if a rotor is glazed lol.

Really? I'm still on my original rear rotors and pads and at 68k miles. They still have more life left.

Meanwhile I'm on my second set of pads and rotors up front. Really took the pads down to barely anything before I replaced them too.

My front pads on my 04 had to be replaced at about 34K miles. I didn't have to do anything else until about 68K miles, when I had the front pads/rotors done, and the rear pads.

In the future I'll check third party service. Should be sometime after 100K miles.

Origianl rotors at 58K. Had the fronts turned at 20k after a few days at the Dragon in 2007. no additional warpage yet. tehy were still withing in spec the last time I checked. I might get CDS rotors for more bling factor more than anything. I drive the car like a grandma since I got my toy.

I've haven't ever had any issues with rear rotors in the past, but i replaced my fronts and I still feel the warped braking movement. can the rear rotors cause this as well or have i warped the fronts?

Yes, rears can do this.

"warping" is uneven pad material "melted" to the rotor face due to heat. usually the fronts are more prone to this, but get the rears hot enough and pad material transfer can happen.

my rear rotors are toast at ~49k. Pads are done too. I'm going with Stoptech slotted rotors and Hawk HPS pads all around.
