OEM Suspension Options - 03
Hi everyone,
I'm wondering for the G35 coupes, what suspension options were offered from the factory and the features of them? I believe one was a sport suspension option? Does this mildly drop the car a bit? Were there any other options offered in the suspension department?
Thanks

I'll answer your question in a way that answers it and takes care of the next question I think you'd ask.
All 2003-2006 coupe production when delivered with oem 17" and 18" wheels came with the standard "sport tuned" suspension. The only other suspension, which is the legit sport suspension, showed up in 2005 and was installed on all coupe delievered on oem 19" wheels.
What differ's with the 2005+ sport suspension is stiffer front sway's, stiffer rear springs and stiffer shocks. As I've said before, having driven both suspension's, IMO the 2005 sport suspension should have been only suspension from day one., IMO of course.

And as a follow up, a good mild option for upgrading the '03-'04 coupe suspension is Tokico D-Spec shocks and aftermarket sway bars. Reduces body roll, improves handling response greatly, and only stiffens ride as much as you want depending on how you set the shocks. Also retains stock ride height so you can get up driveways and over speed bumps.

Got the sways already, so all i'd need are the G35 D-Specs, right? I have an 03 coupe with 70K plus miles on the OEM springs. Considered 350 H-Techs, but rather not deal with camber and toe issues. Please advise. Thanks.
That's what I'm running (OEM '04 springs + D-specs set 3.5 turns from full stiff + Stillen sways set on Med/Med) and I'm quite pleased. Unless you are a wheel gap fanatic or have to have the car lowered, it's a nice combo. Really tightens the car up in the twisties.
