brakes heating up

brakes heating up

i just recently changed my brakes and on the way home the rear brakes started smoking

rear calipers locked up and not releasing. did you release the parking brake when you drove home? i know thats a dumb question but you can never know. did you bleed the brakes when you changed the pads?

New rotors have a coating on them to prevent corrosion. Could just be that. It usually burns off after a few hard braking cycles.

As lucid said make sure the calipers aren't frozen for some reason.

thats a good question. did you just do the pads or both rotors and pads. i have never had the rotors do that to me before.
