alright I am a complete newb when it comes to these cars so please bare with me, I currently own an 03 coupe non brembo package, was recently told that my rear brakes are getting low. Instead of just changing out the pads for oem ones I was wondering if there was a way to upgrade the brakes without going big brake kit, I am looking for something cost effective that will provide better braking, suggestions and feedback are greatly appreciated thanks

 

I have the stoptech brake kit that comes with pads/cross drilled rotors/ ss brake lines and fluid in standard brake size.. I think u can get it from riverside infiniti eBay store..

 

nice! i will have take a look. Did you notice an improvement over the stock brakes?

 

A little but there is a common problem with the g35 and bad breaking.. there is a recent thread about it..

 

ah ok, cant seem to find anything online the only kits that i can find are a few thousand dollars

 

If you're looking for a simple upgrade, I'd get aftermarket pads with SS lines and new brake fluid. Shouldn't be more than $200.

 

I got mine for like 6-700..

 

^the rotors are the bulk of the cost there. No need the change the rotors if they are still within safe thickness.

I was unaware of that, i thought you had to change rotors the same time you changed pads

 

Its not necessary if they are thick enough. If they're warped, you can get them machined flat and they'll be just as good.

Hit up Marinelli Motorsports. Galliano has great prices.

For pads, I personally used Hawk and Akebono. Akebono pads were way better for street driving. Quiet and low dust. A nice upgrade over oems.

As far as SS lines go, Technafit, Fluid Transfer Products, Stoptech, they all do the same thing. Pick one that goes with your budget.
