Brake noise after pad replacement

I replaced my pad this weekend. Lubed it like crazy so it wouldnt make noise. Put everything together and drove it around without a problem. The morning after, i noticed that it makes a noise like the pad is rubbing, but only in reverse when im not touching the brakes. If I put a little pressure on it, it doesnt make a noise. I plan to take it apart this weekend and give it another look. Can anyone give me a suggestion as to what might be the problem so I dont take it apart, put it back together again and the noise is still there? Thanks in advance!

I think the problem might be the rotors. They need to be replaced or so I read. Mine does the same thing.

I had a shop replace both my front rotors and pads about a year ago and when I got my car back it was making a horrible noise, as if the brakes were rubbing (same thing as you it sounds like). So it probably is not the rotors.

I took it back and he fixed it pretty quickly. Not exactly sure what he did, but he made some adjustment to the calipers and/or pads I believe.

sorry I'm not more help, but don't go out right away and replace the rotors is all I'm saying...

I had the same problem and it was the piston that pushes in and relases the inner pad, it may get stuck and the pad keeps rubbing the rotor. hope this helps.

I assume you solved this problem by now, but I just recently had a noise coming from my brakes after I took the front struts out.
I accidentally moved the rotor and the backing plates were not aligned, so it was causing a kind of grinding noise. Easy fix, but sounded horrible.
