2 left calipers?

My friend picked up two front left brembo calipers from junkyard a few days ago.
I've just bought a Coupe without Brembo and plan to do the brembo upgrade.
What would you do with these two left front calipers? thinking I should get a right one for many reason.
Any opinion?

According to reports I've seen, there was a lawsuit filed against Infiniti for the 03-04 Brakes as premature wear was common on pads/rotors. The 05's redesigned the brake system with larger brakes and was pretty much applauded for removing the problem. Are they any better then the Brembos? That's debateble... but at least you don't have to worry about premature wear.

For the record... I have an 05 and would swap my brakes for brembos in a heartbeat.

You can use them just fine without any problem.

All you have to do is that when you bleed the brakes, you will have to hold the caliper such that the bleeder is pointing upwards.

If you don't want to use a left caliper on the right, just buy a refurbished right hand side caliper from an autoparts store, and return the left one as a core.

Thanks for the good info. I will go ahead try out this left shoe on the right foot project.

Where do you see this report?

The G35 Brembos are identical to the ones on the 350Z. It doesn't make sense that Nissan would "redesign" new brakes for the G35 and not the 350Z if their goal is to dodge potential litigation.

By the way, the 2005 brakes are not resdesigned. They are identical to the ones found on the Nissan Fuga years prior to the production of the G35.

05 has better initial breaking than the brembos without as fast wear. Now brake fade is a different story, as is any aesthetic beliefs.

I wouldn't use two left calipers on the car. You may have noticed that the two leading edge pistons are smaller than the trailing end pistons. You won't be able to fix that issue even if you manage to bleed the caliper properly on the right side.

Correct.

What would be the issue?

If you have taken any multi-piston calipers apart, the staggered piston size is to allow room for internal plumbing. The staggered pistons would still engage at identical force because they are operated by the fluid in the same hydraulic line.
