Uneven height, opinions please

Hi folks.

The last two cars I've owned I've ran H&R sport springs ( '97 Integra, 2003 S2000) and have always been satisfied with the ride quality and drop so I bought a set for my '05 G35 5AT coupe.

The drop in the front I'm very satisfied with but I wished the droop in the rear was the same. For example, the front fenders sit about an inch above the tires but in the rear, it's about two inches.

I don't really NEED coilovers so I just bought the springs.

My question is, (and I'm sure I'll get some flames but oh well), how much spring do I need to cut in order to get the rear down about an inch to match the front? It's gonna bug me. And please don't tell me to buy coilovers, I don't need them or want to spend the $$ on them. I already spent a bunch on SPC A-arms, camber kits and spacers.

So thanks in advance.

Do you have any pics? Something doesnt seem right.
You should be pretty even front to rear with that drop. Are you sure that they are installed correctly.

Thanks for the quick reply 4D05G35. I can't get pics uploaded yet. My camera battery is charging. I'm sure everything is installed correctly. I watched the tech. and he def. knew what he was doing. The H&R's definitely lowered the car all around, I just want it as low in the rear as it is in the front. Ya know, in relation to the tires/fender/quarters.

No problem.
Get that battery charged and pics up so I can get a better idea of the fender gaps.
Also how long has it been since the install? It usually takes a little bit for the springs to settle.

Couldn't have said it better myself. DO NOT cut your springs, it's not safe and not necessary.

Thanks a ton. You guys are awesome. I'm glad I posted this before we started hacking away. Oh, and thanks for not flaming me LOL. I was all ready with my flame retardant suit and fire extinguisher.

I'll be sure to post pics in the spring mount thread when I'm done.

Thanks again guys!
