SLIP problem!

i have 2003 6mt g35 coupe n ive been having problems with my slip... I had a spare tire on last month on my pass. front and when ever i break slip starts to flash and my car starts applying breaks on my pass.front.. I thought maybe that was b/c of the smaller spare tire.. but just today as i was driving with my all new tires on my car, did it again from the same pass.front side and i went some what side ways.. The car automatically starts stopping slowly till coming to a complete stop.. This only happens in rainy days... Im worried that one day its going to happen and im gonna crash b/c i cant even stop fast enough before hitting the car in front of me!! No matter if i hit the break pedal or not, it just stops by its self with the slip light blinking and this happens even with VDC off!!

HELp cuz this is goin to crash my car one day!!

sounds like could be a speed sensor too.. i had one of my speed sensor bolts come loose somehow and was making my 03 5at do that.. it really easy to check urself it ur speed sensor is lose.. its the wire/line that is actually hooked to the suspension and goes into the back of the brakes/brake shield.. not many lines there neways

I believe it's the tire pressure sensors. Each one is supposed to be for a specific wheel, so when you put your spare on the ecu thinks the tire is flat, so it's going into limp mode. Easy fix is to turn off the vdc. You'll have to put the original wheel back on or reset the sensors.

The ECM wont go into limp mode because of TPMS sensors. I haven't had any on my car for almost 3 years. The worst thing that happens is after about an hour of driving the low tire pressure light comes on. Some have said that their light will flash at them or stay on. .

Haha, I don't know then. When I had my Z I had aftermarket rims and couldn't mount the sensors, so I had the low tire pressure light on. When I would take turns fast, rain or dry, the car would go into limp mode. I turned the traction control off and never had the problem again. Although sometimes when it would rain I would **** my pants when the back end would slid out.

I think that you are confusing "limp mode" with VDC. VDC will take over momentarily when it detects wheel slip, locking, etc. It will do what it needs for the car to regain control. It's just momentary. Such as ABS.
Limp mode (Only car I have ever experienced that with was a honda) is when the ECU defaults to a different set of maps for various reasons (mine was due to O2 sensor and tuning issues). It will run those maps until the ECU is reset.

235/40/18 and 255/45/18?
The rear tires are 6% larger than the front. I would get the correct tire sizes before exploring elsewhere.

Yes, Stock the difference between front and rear is 2.6% and the set-up you have is 6.1% different. 3% or less seems like the magical number for keeping VDC happy.
