in need a list of what to replace...

I just bought a 2004 g35 coupe with 85k miles. I know that I need wheel bearings caused I hear a grinding sound coming from the front wheels. Since I will be replacing those soon, can y'all tell what else should I replace?

Oh I need breakes too. But kind of brand should I get? I would prefer oem but if there is something that would last longer, let me know the brand and part number.

for brake pads, many like hawks or project mu....rotors, i like stop tech, while you work on the brakes you might as well change your brake fluild

you my want to also check you shocks/struts and as always all your fluids, esp your diff and trans.

Thanks, I was planning to change out all fluids.

I read that most people here change out there sway bars, do yall change them out caused does it go bad or is it just for performance?

Check your compression rod bushings and lower control arm bushings. With 85K miles I'll bet they are ready for replacement. I recommend ES or Whiteline.

sway bars don't necessarily go bad, but people upgrade them for better performance - it's quite a substantial amount of performance difference too.

if you want to replace your shocks/struts/springs but not lower, tokico d-spec and 06+ sport suspension springs. you could just replace to the oem sport suspension if you'd like to remain oem. tokico is the preferred aftermarket shock.

brakes - hawk's are alright. not quite as grabby as oem. if you go with ceramic pads with oem rotors, expect to replace your rotors soon. ceramic will wear them down much faster. stoptech rotors are great if you replace them.

mikedg made a good point. your compression rod bushings will soon go, if they haven't already. they're easy to check to see if they're ripped/torn/need replacing.
