Brake groan (stoptech street performance)
So roughly 5k miles ago I installed Stoptech street performance pads on my 05 coupe as the stock ones were nearing their end. I installed them properly, greased em up and what not. But I experience a sort of grunt or groan when I let off the brakes after a full stop. This issue is exaggerated moreso when the weather is wet out, and quite frustrating.
I cant find much in the way of similar stories out there and am quite clueless as to why it's happening. My car has 65k miles, so I'm assuming the rotors have been on there for that full duration.
I didn't resurface them at the time of install as there was no pronounced outer lip or noticeable grooves. But could whatever texture exists, the worn surface, or simply the material be causing my problems?
Thanks for your help.
