Coilovers for 2004 Coupe?

Hi All,

I'm looking into getting coilovers for my G-Coupe, my main purpose is daily driving but I do take aggressive cornering (not drifting). Therefore, I want something that can handle well enough and is durable, also with a monotube design, adjust-ability and a price (for a set) of more than $1,700 USD.

Please provide your advice, (other coilovers) recommendations and/or previous experiences with the following brands and/or models of coilovers:

- Greddy Type S
- KW Variant 2 (monotube?)
- Buddyclub Racing Spec
- BC Racing BR
- Ksport Kontrol Pro
- Stance XR

Thanks, cheers!

You should be able to find lots of threads describing most of these coils. Check the stickies at the top of this section.

Would not buy K sport,

with your budget i'd get the KWs or the Greddy's, buddy had the greddy's and it was a nice ride.

Thanks, but haven't seen reviews for the Buddyclub, D2, K Sport and Stance as yet. I may have to search harder...

Thanks, from what I am reading is the Greddy's a fully adjustable coilovers or just suspension set (like H&R's, Eibachs, etc)? Also is the KW Variant 2 a monotube design? Cause I know the KW Variant 3 are... Nevertheless I think the Greddy's are my default option, if the 2 options I'm leaning towards don't shine so to speak - BC Racing BR or ER (been hearing great reviews BTW) or Buddyclub Racing Spec...

I wouldn't bother with any of those

Bilstein PSS10's or KW V2's

Most coils shoudl be fully adjustable if you're referring to preload, height and damper.

i have BC racing myself, because they're so affordable

my friends have had k sports on various cars and they just don't ride well, i've also read some bad stories about em. Honestly though, i've never touched the stuff myself except for a few adjustment *****.

In my multiple personal experiences with Ksport, they're great coils for the money.
