I've been having scraping noises and recently discovered something on the driver side front wheel was the culprit. Went in to take a look, and noticed the bottom sliding pin bolt on the caliper is completely missing. So, I figure I could walk into a nearby hardware store (small little place) and simply buy a new bolt. However, I have no idea what size to look or ask for. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

No problem. I believe the bolt in there is a 12mm x 1.0 (which is a finer thread than your standard 12mm x 1.25). Found out the hard way when mine stripped and I tried to replace it with one from Lowes...

Local hardware store didn't have it due to thread being too "coarse". Nowhere else is really in walking distance, plus I'm at work, so I can't really spend much time away. Hoping Autozone would have it in stock and not just be an online thing.

 

They had them in stock at my local auto zone. I'm pretty sure it's a common item (like maybe fitting Maxima's and Altima's too...)

The person there said they didn't carry that specific strength rating (10) so I got nothing... Should I have just said "Let me try with this weaker rating (8)" or what? Both places I went to recommended a specific place for me to go to, but that's a bit farther away... fml...
