Do the RSR 350Z springs need the rear spring mount mod ?
Do the RSR 350Z springs need the rear spring mount mod ?
I currently have 350Z H-Tech springs. It dropped the front .75 inch and the rear maybe 0.2 inch. I ended doing the rear spring mount mod for .75 inch drop all the way around. I'm considering a full 1-1.1 inch drop with 350Z RSR springs. My question is: will I have my desired 1.1 inch drop in the rear with my current modded rear spring mount? Or will RSR springs + the modded spring mount drop the rear too much? (In which case, I will need to buy a set of unmodded spring mounts.)

G35 Coupe "Sport Package"
I have RS*R Ti2000 350Z springs on my 05 coupe. car only has 38K miles, but the springs have been on the car since 23K and are fully settled. have finally decided car needs rear spring mount mod. there is still almost a full two finger gap in the rear. that is how I found your post.
also have the Tokico 350Z D-Specs and enjoy the street handling and comfort this combo provides me for a car that is never tracked. can not justify the cost of coilovers just to get the rear down 1/4 or 1/2 inch. the front drop is perfect for me...1 finger gap. any lower would cause more driving problems. already scrape my JIC Y-pipe on speed bumps if I do not approach slowly at an angle.
use to have the OEM front lip spoiler and that would scrape all the time on dips and steep inclines. replaced my 2005 OEM front and lip with the 2006-07 OEM sport front and now it is ok. the black plastic air dam underneath still scrapes.
I run 19x10.5, +19 wheels with 275-35 tires and it has never rubbed and appears that it will not rub even with the spring mount mod. just need to figure out how much to cut.
I would recommend based upon how my car sits, to do a spring mount mod for those considering these springs. you should be good to go.
does anyone know the part # and how much to cut off to start? I was thinking 1/2 inch, but do not want to overdo it.
