Then sir, not to call you out, but you're running the wrong tires on your 20's. That, or the tires on the 17's are undersized. There should be less than 0.5" difference in the tire's overall diameter regardless of rim size. Unless you're running the wrong tires.


Anyways that's irrelevant I still can't figure out the Min/Max on these bad boys... sucks.

 

Im still trying to figure out how to soften up the ride...im going to have to look into adjusting the strut....According to bc with the spring maxed out the strut should be adjusted halfway between the sight hole on the lower housing....IDK whether to go up or down on it though

Ok after about 5 emails and asking about 4 times, I finally got a picture and a rough range of adjustment, they didn't even specify front to rear or whether this is for the G coupe, sedan, or 350Z.

Horrid CS, I'm very glad I didn't go with this company. Though their product gets good reviews for the most part. The range of adjustment on the G/Z is not worth a crap either but that seems to be kind of common to most cheaper CO's for these cars.

In either case here's the info for BC gave me for any of you guys wondering:

Was the rear spring preloaded properly during installation?

I have these coilovers and utilize the 230mm spring.

I will also have another rear setup option that I'm going to install next week to review and if all goes as planned I will setup a post in the vendor section.....

 

I installed them according to the instruction I was given by a BC employee over the phone. However I am assuming the preload is not adjusted correctly and when I try to ask BC again what the shock should be when fully extended and compressed to try and check they either don't return my calls or answer my emails. Do you have the specs of what they should be or some instruction? Im positive the adjustment of the shock itself is where my problem is coming from.

This is exactly what I needed...thanks! These are not the instructions BC gave me when I called.....thanks again I'll let you guys know if this was the problem.

 

My BCs don't have a hard ride but I would say that the small bump absorption does suffer... probably a product of the damping and perhaps the use of aluminum vs steel? My kit came with a ~1" gold spacer that I use on the rear and I have no problem adjusting ride height within an inch of stock.

Hybrid was thinking of doing the same. I have swift spring so I have all the parts to do it. What rate are u running. I got 10k for the swift now. Did u use the same tops that came with and use the black plastic holder for the toP and bottoms?

 

My contact at BC recommend 6k because of new location of spring. It seems to ride better or the same. The kit consists of 2 springs, 4 isolators and 4 lock rings. I will have these for sale shortly.

 

Dang, I got a 10k spring and dont really want to pay for a new one. I guess I could try. What is the worst that could happen. The lock rings are the same that come with the regular ones correct.

 

It will stiff. Yes, one small lock ring and one larger one that go on bottom of spring just like front.
