Motive Powder Bleeder MAINTENANCE

How do I keep and store the Motive Powder Bleeder.
I used it a few months back and just dumped the leftover brake fluid out.
Didn't wash or clean the bleeder.

Whats the best way to clean it if I even need to clean it.

I think you are supposed to run denatured alcohol through it to clean out the brake fluid. I believe you are supposed to oil the pump occasionally too.

I use denaturated alcohol to clean both my power bleeder and power filler. You can buy it in a 1gallon jub in the paint section of any home improvement store. It's an ethyl alcohol.

I just use mine at least once a week The biggest issue I've found with the Motive units is if you store the hose at a sharp angle, it can cause hairline cracks to develop in the clear hoses. If the cracks develop, they evenutally leak to a sprinkler effect, spewing brake fluid everywhere.
