Need new rotors... few questions
Hey guys.
Car: 06 G Sedan base. 17's
I have a question. I want to eventually upgrade to the akebono caliper set up. with rotors. But while i save up to get that i wanted to ask if there was a path i could take to avoid double buying stuff.
Id like to buy Rotors now, so question is can i get a rotor at the larger size and still use the stock calipers? If so would i need an adapter?
Or do i need to just stay stock and buy the whole kit later?
Thanks.

up front no. Your calipers are designed to fit a certain rotor size, 12.6" i believe. Akebonos are 14". Even if you had an adapter to use 14" rotors there would be uneven wear on the rotor using your stock calipers because the pads will be smaller. Relatively speaking performance rotors will not be expensive.
