Angry Annoying Squeaking/Creaking Noise

Hi fellow G's,

I looked and looked but could not find someone with the similar problem. So here goes, my 06 G35 coupe 5AT has been making this squeaking/creaking noise for a while now and it's annoying the hell out of me. It sounds like it's coming from the front wheel area. It happens when i am coming up to a stop, I let my foot off the gas and start to apply the brakes. Sounds like I need new brakes right? Well the thing is it only happens when I apply the brakes to a certain level (about mid-way), if I slam on the brakes, or gently coast to a stop just barely applying the brake, NO SOUND!? Also, it doesn't sound like any brake issue I've heard, given I'm no expert but I think I would know a brake issue when I hear one. The only other time a hear this same sound is when a turn up my drive way, or turn into a parking spot (not applying brake at all). Not sure if it's bushings, brakes, or what? someone please HELP!!!!!

*Update*

Just got back from Fresno Infiniti for that RECALL on my side air bag connector, and asked about that squeak. They did a multi point inspection and said everything looked in good shape. Okay??? Then why is my car still squeaking? Annoying, but maybe i'll attach a video soon. Anyone please help with any suggestions.

I got the same problem and im thinking about the bearings because at very low speed I feel the car's right side is lifting up and down... just alligned the wheel and got much beter but did not arrange the up and down feeling. It could also be the brake cause it skips when i have to brake hard. hope someone knows the answer.

Yeah, I'm thinking about taking it to a brake/suspension shop soon. I know Infiniti said everything looked fine, but I'm thinking that's what anyone who wasn't get paid would say... As the temp is getting hotter I get the sound more and more often. Almost every time I come to a stop. I was hoping someone could help us out with some thoughts???

Check all nuts and bolts for the wheel assembly on that corner to make sure they are tight.

I have this same issue - mine are coming from my rear brakes. Started happening after I got my rear pads (that i purchased) installed by a piece of crap mechanic that my parents sent me to.

I have the exact same experience, where certain amount of brake pressure causes noise that sounds like I need new brake pads. Driving me nuts...

I've heard that sometimes the rotors don't wear evenly which causes an uneven surface, therefore causing the screeching sounds. I have the same problem. It could be cheaper aftermarket parts that some service shops use or manufacturer parts that aren't the best quality. When my rotors and brake pads are worn down, I'll probably switch to stoptech rotors and Hawk brake pads that I see vendors selling and see if that helps. No full BBK tho cause its hella expensive. lol

Well I know it's been a while but I'm back. Finally had enough time and took my car down to a local shop in my town. Had them lift it in the air and give it a quick look. Just like the infiniti dealership, they said everything looks good, great in fact. Okay???? So they tightened up a couple bolts on the wheel assembly and said to drive around and if it makes the sound maybe parts need lubing. So .25 miles down the road come up to a stop and there it is again!!! WOW this is annoying no one seems to see anything wrong but the noise is still present.

I'm due for brakes in a few months. Thinking of StopTech rotors and some good pads. Maybe this will help??

I don't think it's your brakes. Everything you described in your first post sounds like your compression rod bushings are cracked or torn. It is a very common problem with our cars. Do a search and you will find hundreds of threads about it.

Yeah, I have read a lot of people's posts that seem to have the same issue. If I told you it usually starts up after a bit of driving or when its hot would that help point the finger at the bushings?

Also lets assume it is the compression rod bushings. Is this something noticeable or that can be seen from looking under the car in the area? What kinds of signs I'm I looking for? Thanks!

and check if it is loose. but even if it does not seems to be loose it can be ( my garage man told me I lost one on the street ) and thats what makes the noise :S so check it out.
