The part in the image that is circled in red need to be replaced. I am not sure what the part is called....control arm? Can it be changed with simple hand tools (no ball joint pullers or presses)?

I was not able to find any info by searching google or G35Driver....
Is this how I would proceed:
with the car on jack stands and shock supported by another jack
remove the ball joint bolt and then the bolt on the other side of the control arm
done?
