Coilovers adjustment (adjusted spring perches, how about shocks?)

Coilovers adjustment (adjusted spring perches, how about shocks?)
So i've been searching for the past 3 days and found out how to lower coilovers, I adjusted the spring perches fine but it didnt seem like it lowered much.
Do i have to adjust the shocks as well?
If i make the shocks go lower to meet the spring bucket arm, the car doesn't get raised?
Lowering the rear btw.
