Hi forum,

Been a subscriber for a while but posted just once before today.
problem:
I changed my brakes F&R yesterday. Front are PowerStop kit with the ceramic pads.
Back are Centric with ceramic pads.
Change them yesterday following the G35 service factory manual. Followed all bolt torque as per the book and made sure the hand brake was properly adjusted.

I bedded the pads are per the book instructions, however I have a grinding almost like a metal rattle coming from either the back or the front. I can't pinpoint it yet
I am using the original pad retainer clips which I clean very well before re-installing.

It is driving me nuts so any help is greatly appreciated.

 

did you grease the back of the pads? maybe the dust shield got bent.

 

Thanks AuAltima3.5. That was it I. They dust shield must to have bent a little while taking the old rotors off.

I believe this fixed my problem.
