Brakes 2008 G35x Sedan BBK Upgrade

Hi all, after doing research on upgrading my G35X's brakes, I finally had the dealership install the Akebono BBK with SS brake lines. Of course, I had to upgrade the wheels from 17"s to OEM 18 x 8 all around. The wheels fit without spacers and the braking is very smooth. Overall, the set up is great and it makes the car brake a lot smoother than factory stock set up.

Nice. Can I ask how much it cost for you to do the upgrade?

That's a good price! One last question; do you get any squealing noises? I've been thinking of upgrading my brakes in hopes that it'll fix my squealing noises coming from my front brakes. Been bothering me like crazy.

I did not have noises. I changed them because I been planning to change them for over a year.

You shouldn't be having any kind of noises coming from your brakes, do you have shims installed? greased pins? what kind of pads?

Not sure what you paid for just the brakes but Z1 motorsports have what I believe is a full akebono kit for around $1600.

Those are decent kits, but very very heavy adding a lot of unsprung weight. "real" BBk's have forged aluminum calipers with 2 piece rotors which save a lot of weight, but the akebono kit is a great alternative.
