Compression Rod Bushing Failure?
Compression Rod Bushing Failure?
Hi Everyone,
I walked into the dealer the other day and asked about ordering the bushings for the compression rod. I was told that replacing just the bushings in the compression rods almost always leads to failure. His reasoning was that most bushings are rusted inside the rod for a while so when you press it out and press a new one in it never really fits the same.
I know a lot of people have had the bushings replaced, how are you holding up?
Also, I heard the polyurethane bushings tend to squeal what are your experiences?
Thanks!!

Check out our MARKETPLACE under vendor suspension, they'll have CRBs at a resonable price. Stay away from urethane bushings unless you're into nightmare noises! I have them on my sways but they have grease fittings so I'm safe.

Have heard some pretty good reviews on whiteline bushings. I currently have new oems that were pressed in and no problems here, but they will go bad sooner or later. There's a new/improved version of the whitelines and I'm just waiting to see how they hold up on people's rides.
