G35 Tein S Tech - Car is uneven everywhere

Hi all,

I recently got installed the G35 Stech springs and I'm not happy at all with the drop. Three out of the four corners have different drops and the car looks ridiculous. Anyone else experience this? Maybe the guy installed it wrong, not sure...I'm taking it in today to get it looked at.

The front dropped a little and the rear slammed. The two fronts are both different height but the most noticeable is the front to rear...the rear is dropped almost an inch more than the front.

Does anyone know of any methods or ways to raise the rear a bit without having to buy coilovers so I can make the front and rear a bit more even? I just spend 1300 on this setup with struts, labor...and I don't want to re-invest more money in to the suspension any more.

Thanks everyone.

Just more stupid questions really..sorry

1. How long have you had it done? i.e. have you driven it long enough the springs to settle?
2. Are you looking at it on level ground?
3. Are the springs oriented correctly? i.e. Do they start from the same point on the rears, left and right side? And same for the front?

There is a 5/8" spring insulator from energy suspension that u dremel to fit on the cone bump stop. The dremel only has to remove a slight amount of material. The cheapest I found is jc Whitney part num e1296120g $33 shipped. That will help the rear but the fronts could have been set wrong in the mount. Hope that helps

1 - 5-6 weeks and I drive it daily
2 - yes lol
3 - Yes but tonight I'm going to have my mechanic double check the installation of them

g35 slug, I appreciate the response, thanks. I may just grab those to even the back out with the front a bit if the installation is correct. I checked the site though with your code and nothing is coming up, would you be able to double check that for me?

Thanks for the responses, appreciate it.

$1,300 could've got you a decent set of coilovers to begin with.

Possibly installed wrong. Hard to say without seeing pictures of everything. Just make sure springs are in correct location and oriented correctly. Also that all rubber insulators were installed.

Well, $500 went to extra parts and labor alone because I went from full coils to this setup and I needed new oem top hats. To be honest, my main concern was ride quality and it's a day and night difference between both setups...the quality of the ride now is far more superior than previously, so I'm happy in that aspect. I'm just not happy with the height and judging by the hundreds or pics I saw on here before I bought the s techs, I didn't get what I expected out of the drop.

I think they're installed wrong. Is there a any pics of how they should be installed so I can inspect it myself? Maybe the rears are in the front and vice versa or up side down (if possible).

Thanks

Well I know that the front should be slightly lower than the front..Do you have any stereo equipment in the trunk?...Im on the Tein H-Techs until Monday, switching to Eibachs for the 1.1front and 1.0 rear...Seems to be the most even drop out there for springs...Something is not right for sure..Got any pics?

I wasn't trying to be smart, but a lot of folks don't look at the car on level and panic.

I'm looking at Tein S-type or the H&R sports.
I like the idea of linear springs on the rear, as I'm not sure about the H&R progressives for rear springs and the handling.

I love my s-techs, it's been a month so far and it's speed bump friendly. I was coming from 350z eibach sportline and mannn... That thing was harsh, felt like I was riding on bump stops, after switching to s-techs, made a whole lot of a difference in terms of comfort.
