where's the lowest price source for Stoptech pads and friction rings?

Anyone? There is one Stoptech dealer here in Canada and they suck. At least I assume they suck as they've never actually returned a phone call

What's a good price for 355x34 rings?

Thanks

Man stop it you are making Canadians look bad . Friction rings lol man we call them rotors and pads. You are looking for a set of stoptech rotors and pads. Well let me tell you what you are looking for is Centric rotors / pads / stainless lines. Now go and find those and let me know how it goes for you.

I enjoyed the trips to victoria island as a kid when I grew up in Vancouver and Burnaby. Seriously friction rings lol..that is a new word and every day you learn something new

I use these suppliers to get parts and just cross reference centric. They make all the stoptech rotors and if you are looking for those get the premium cryo rotors or get premium blanks. You can go with the cross drilled and slotted but honestly I would only recommend slotted and you won't really see much advantage on the streets. Put that money towards stainless centric lines and motul rbf600.

Wow, thanks for the lesson.

The Stoptech rep called them friction rings, and I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest he knows more about it than you.

Rotors are the entire assembly (hats, rings, hardware). I just need the friction rings.

Faiz23, why dont you educate yourself before you run your mouth. If you bothered to notice, OP has a Stoptech big brake kit with multi-piece rotors. He's not trying to find OE ROTORS.... hes looking for the FRICTION RINGS...

OP, I dont know what your local dealer quoted you (if you received any word at all), but I just did a quick check on Stoptech's website and they seem to offer replacement FRICTION RINGS (faiz23....) and just about another other part for their BBK's. Maybe give them a quick call and they could give you better information.

Do you have the Aero rotors?

Aerorotor is a friction ring. Hence rotor in the name AERO and that is what most stoptech folks would refer it to as. If you call and ask for aerorotor they will be able to give the right part number since it cross references in their system. Op should have said I needed stoptech pads and Aerorotors / friction ring. Try to search up the term stoptech Aerorotor and stoptech friction ring. See which one give you better results on google.

So what you are looking for is a ROTOR but specifically an AEROROTOR also known as friction ring. So we are both correct that friction ring is actually a rotor.

StopTech AeroRotor Replacement

StopTech AeroRotors are attached to lightweight, billet aluminum AeroHats with hardware that allows them to expand freely as they are heated. Thus, they are known as "floating rotors."

Uhh sure pal. Yes they're floating rotors. But theyre not 'aero rotors" and "aero hats". The product is called the "aero rotor" and refers to the entire assembly. Not the individual parts.

"Aero-Rotor kits are 2-piece rotors that utilize an aluminum hat and an iron friction ring to save weight and increase heat capacity while utilizing the stock calipers." -That is directly from Stop-Tech. 2 pieces. The hat, and the friction ring. thats it.

The "friction ring" is not a rotor. The rotor is the entire assembly. The friction ring is just a friction ring. it bolts to the hat, which is just a hat. bolt them together and it makes a "rotor". More specifically, a floating Aero-rotor.

Well this is fascinating but it really isn't answering my original question.

It looks as if racingbrake.com is the best deal. Anyone know of anywhere cheaper?

You are right none of the techinal info is helping you out with price. So lets try to help you with price. Can you confirm you are looking for 355x34 or 355x32. I can't find any 355x34 on the web. I can find 355x32 and 355x35. ALso check to see if either vendor offers coupons for additional savings. Use our forum vendors and have them beat the best pricing.

Good price but check if it comes with complete rotor or just the ring.

http://www.stoptech.com/dealer-locator

^ List of all "authorized" online dealers for stoptech replacement parts.

Did you take a look at Porterfield-brakes? They have a ton of stop-tech products and replacement aero-rings. But I searched g35 it only lists the 324mm option. It says they carry the DRK and BBK rings but doesnt list a 355. not for the G anyway. Might be worth a quick call to see if they have them

We keep some of the ST BBK replacement rings in stock as well as the pads to fit the calipers.

Unfortunately - you just missed the price increase that occurred on 7/1/2013 and they walloped the replacement rings pretty good.

They do come w/ hardware.

Be careful if you use another manufacturer's rotor ring. If there is any fitment issue they will point at each other.

PS

The G35 kit uses 355 x 32 mm rotors.
