Im a big fan of centric, I run them on my Eagle Talon that's boosting 30+PSI.

and your right centric run about what $60 a piece, plus shipping thats over $250 just for rotors, then you need pads too.

these are $178 shipped to your door! and i did the research on them, they have alot of positive reviews on ebay and even a few other car forums i found.

they arent race brakes, but for a DD i think they are good. id buy them again and i recommend them to friends

OP good luck with whatever you decided, but if you do purchase those, let everyone know what you think once you get them

high end cars come factory with drilled rotors and some slotted as well i think

there is some truth to what he said, crappy rotors only get worse if they are drilled and/or slotted.

And pages 2 and 5 here.

I would go with slotted.

I run Centric hi-carbon blanks. Too many negatives and not enough "true & proven" benefits to deal with drilled and/or slotted rotors on a street car. Powerslot, stoptech, and others all start with Centric rotors. You can find them for good deals on Amazon, ebay, rockauto, etc.

For a daily and minor spirited driving, I've used and highly recommend Akebono Pro-ACT pads. Very low dust and good stopping power for daily driving.

I'm currently running Carbotech 1521 street compound performance pads, they're awesome, but pricey so I can't recommend them as a "bang for your buck." But if you absolutly flog the car, do a few track days, and want to actually stop in the winter, they can't be beat. (I've read the Hawk street pads need to warm up)
