the compression rods noise issue....again

I have read up in this forum and thank everyone who helped me previously. I was hearing a clunking noise on the passenger and driver side with lot of research and help from this forum we narrowed it down to the compression rods so i had them changed. Everything was great for the last 6-7 months now I'm hearing another clucking on both side again at low speeds or rougher type roads.

the question i have is has anyone run it the problem of changing the comp rods and still hearing the clunking noise months later? i live in Canada i bought them from an infiniti dealer in Virginia and had them shipped to me (i saved about 400.00 doing so) so i doubt they will help me or provide warranty. i also changed both upper control arms and the ball joint on the passenger side. i read in this forum it could be the endlinks but do they really make the same noise? i know it's a wear and tear part so changing them doesn't bother me.

I will fix whatever the issue is, but i will be pissed if i have to change the compression rods again and would think about selling it.

Winter makes the suspension produce all sorts of noises.

Take it to infiniti and tell them to take a look at just the suspension.
Dont mention the engine to them.
They might have the tech take it out for a spin to ascertain the source of the noise.

Either way its not going to be expensive if they tech says its suspension related (i say not expensive since the work on the engine was more extensive that what the suspension will call for)

Also I find nissan tech/dealers are cheaper and its same kind of car for them so they might charge you less or not at all depending on who you deal with. I know my nissan dealership doesn't charge anything for failing to correctly diagnose a problem.

Thanks for your reply I'm taking it in to find out exactly whats wrong but just wanted to know if anyone has had this issue after replacing both compression rods. it would suck to have to do the compression rods again and i love the car.

I've had problems with taking an infiniti to a nissan dealership they look at me like i don't know what type of car i drive even though they're made by the same company. maybe it's a Toronto snobby thing
