Stainless Steel Brake Lines

Howdy all,

Could someone please point me in the right direction on how to install stainless steel brake lines. Went to the dealer and they wanted $550 including bleeding. This forum is awesome and I've completely just installed a new stereo system using the audio / video thread from here about 6 months ago.

I've searched and searched, but no luck so far. So if someone could point to the tutorial, video clip, and/or directions on how to do the lines, I would much appreciate it. I have changed rotors and pads on the car in the past, but have not touched the lines. I have on 06 5AT.

Thanks for all the help.

Should be DIY threads around for it, if you don't see those specifically, you can use Brembo/Akebono/BBK install DIY threads and just do the steps pertinent to your install. Also don't forget to check 6mt or my350z.

What brand are you getting? Stoptechs come with instructions. I just did mine and its pretty simple. But be sure to look up the DIY for your specific type brakes as the standards are differnt from the Brembos. Also get yourself a set of flare wrenches and save yourself a headache.

Here is how i ran my lines:

Much appreciate all your help, guys. I think I found it in the DIY forum. Will attempt this weekend (depends on the weather) or Memorial Day weekend. Thanks for the flare wrench tip also, 2one8.
