hotchkis install help

hotchkis install help

i finished the front sway bars and i disconnected the endlinks and brackets for the rear sway bar. but i am having trouble getting the bar out with the exhaust in the way. do i have to take out the exhaust?

you might have to unbolt a couple of the exhaust hangers to get the rear sway out. I also had trouble getting the OEM sway out....once I unbolted a couple of the hangers, it slid right out. Some people will tell you you don't have to unbolt any hangers......I did though to make it easier.. You don't have to remove any exhaust piping, just drop the hanger to create more clearence for the removal of the stock sway.

If you've already completed then great. But if you haven't, it's not that hard. It is easier to disconnect some of the exhaust, you don't have to remove anything.

i didnt do anything for my exhaust. if you bring/turn the passenger side end so its pointing straight to the rear of the car, you can then easily pull it out. just slide in the new sway bar the way you pulled out the old one.

Yeah, I have the Stillen but I think it is the same. With some manupilation,
you should be able to slide the old bar out and the new one in without any
problems. Just keep trying.
