Going back to near-OEM ride quality?

So I'm a new owner of a G35 coupe and the previous owner installed either Raceland or BC Racing coilovers(he can't remember) in addition to 19 inch wheels. As a result, the ride quality is quite rough and, while I can deal with it most of the time with short commutes, passengers would often comment or complain about it, and it also won't be too ideal for longer drives. I do not track/race my car and I'd prefer a more 'luxurious' ride.

So I'm wondering, which one has a bigger impact on ride quality - suspension or wheels/tires? This would help me get a better idea on which one I'd change first... which is to either get OEM shocks/struts/springs, or the most comfortable tires possible for 19 inch wheels. (I'm quite in love with 19"s, so I could sacrifice some ride quality to keep the size.)

Also, if not OEM suspension, what are the best aftermarket options for near-OEM ride comfort (or better, if possible?)

They're probably raceland as BC usually rides well.
What size tires are on the wheels? If it's below a 40 profile, you'll feel the road a lot more.
Also, double check and make sure the coils were installed properly, while you're there check for worn valves/bushings.

You could look for OE coupe springs on our Marketplace and replace the coil overs with KYB shocks that would give you a factory ride. Our G35 coupes won't give you a total luxary ride, just so you know...Gary

350Z springs provide the same ride quality as the OEM "sport" suspension and provide a minor drop. Probably the best "compromise" setup.

Correction, my wheels are 18" (thought they were 19 cause they're OEM G37 enkei, but I guess I have the uncommon 18's). The tires are Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2 at 225/50ZR18
Surely this setup shouldn't be that rough, right? Must be my suspension then. Looks like I'll have to get it inspected.
