Replaced Rotors, NOW Caliper mounting bolt touches back of rotor???
Replaced Rotors, NOW Caliper mounting bolt touches back of rotor???
I have a strange dilemma on my 2005 G35x. I went to replace my brakes and rear rotors.
After completing the job, the right side is completely fine, but left side is all weird.
After driving there was a grinding noise, and i removed the break pads and saw that the 2 caliper mounting bolts that connect the caliper to the knuckle, reach far enough to hit the inside of the rotor!!
How the heck does this happen? Is something warped or uneven in the suspension/wheel bearing?
I grinded so much of the rotor that it happens only if i turn now, instead of anytime i drive. ;-;
Anyone know what this has occurred? I can probably cut the bolts to fix the issue/ or put a washer -- but I'm so confused as to why this is happening.
Thanks
