Rear v36 sedan caliper on v35 coupe
Rear v36 sedan caliper on v35 coupe
I have a 2005 g35 coupe that is my drift missile. Couple years ago I upgraded my g37 sedan to powerstop calipers rotors etc and I’ve had the stock calipers laying around ever since. Ran a few drift events now and looking to get a hydraulic handbrake, wondering if the stock rear calipers from my g37 would fit on my g35 coupe as secondary calipers for my handbrake? Do I need 2x of the same caliper on each side for it to work? Or can I mismatch?
I'm almost certain you could take a dual caliper bracket for a Z34/V36 chassis and bolt it directly onto a V35 chassis bracket.
Pretty sure GKTech is still the go-to for dual caliper brackets (or just drifting stuff in general), you might just email them and ask.

Ok thanks u the man.. I’ve got gktech angle kit and LCAs and they seem to be pretty decent, so I’ll contact them and see what they say. You think the v35 stock caliper will bolt up to the v36 bracket and able to use v36 caliper alongside v35 caliper tho?
The bolt pattern for the dual caliper bracket should be the same, you would use the dual caliper bracket for whatever caliper you're trying to add, in this case using the V36 bracket since you want to use a V36 caliper.
You won't have full brake pad sweep area of the caliper due to the diameter of the rotor being slightly smaller but it should still work.
Again though, just email them I'm sure they already have the answer.

Forgot to report back to this thread, but if anyone else is in the same boat, gktech informed me it will NOT work without extra fabrication. Ended up finding cheap new OEM v35 calipers off a guy from Facebook
