**POLL** Can you make a G handle like an M3?
Re: **POLL** Can you make a G handle like an M3?
Forget the M3, wait until more suspension products come out like sway bars, strut bars, springs or coil-overs, etc. and surpass the M3's handling. =)

Re: **POLL** Can you make a G handle like an M3?
you are correct. but i highly doubt it will all be worth it.
and in that case .. go out an buy the m3, and the g35.
this way you wouldnt have to make it handle like the ///m
also keep in mind that the m3 has a coilover system, sway bars wider stance.

the magazine numbers dont mean much. why else do wrx's come in first at autocrosses. why else did a dodge viper gts r with .98g beat a quicker 911 turbo with 1.01 g on the track
some of the tests are preformed by turning the wheel all the way to the left and flooring it and you get a handling rating.
what car with 275 - 285 hp to the wheels and a 7900 redline wont spin out of control ?
compared to a car with a 6900 redline and 230 to the wheels
there are many factors that the magazines cannot provide or test in regards to handling.
for example, what if i have no power steering but yet im able to pull over 1 G. that wouldnt matter much.
the g35 steering is good, but the back end wants to swing out where the front end is planted.
when taking turns you feel some body roll, and you dont feel planted to the road because the front wants to go in one direction and rear cant follow. never the less its still a great handling car, as long as you are within a certain limit.
take the m3 out on the same turns, and your not using much muscle to turn that steering wheel, you feel planted, and the seats keep you planted. sure the car can go out of control, but your indication of this is the tires squeeling, prior to the back swinging out.
the m3 is an easier car to keep under control, and keep it under its .90 g's
where the G compared to an m3 is a harder car to keep under control, and because of that may have an easier time going over its limit.

I own an M3 and i was able to make the a$$ end come around at will... I don't think your argument makes much sense... I for one think the G35 coupe and M3 are very close in handling, and when it come down to it, the better driver will always have the better results.

i have an e46 m3 and a g35 sedan what i am saying is based on my experience.
i can take turns on the m3 at 90 where the sedan is struggling at 60.
sure i can hook the wheel mash the gas and make the rear end break loose.
but when i am on the highway and or exit ramp or any turn, i can do it better in the m3 which has 900 miles on it vs the sedan which has 13k+.
as far as the coupe, it can handle better then the sedan, as my friend has it, and the coupe and a e46 ///m is not a drivers race.
my point is. ... i feel more comfortable in the the ///m when it comes down to high speed turns, s curves, whatever have you, then the sedan or coupe, and that is part of the handling.
