Racing Brake's guinea pig

yup, that's me.

Has anyone else installed this kit yet? Personally I couldn't stand seeing those puny stock rotors in a 19" rim so here I am. Unfortunately the install will have to wait for another 3 weeks until I move (dammit)!! No sence paying someone to do such an easy install.

Hoping to get a better feel from the brakes and the 4lbs (approx) lighter weight/rotor couldn't hurt either.

pics - slotted and drilled

Looks interesting. Keep us posted. Did you also buy SS brake lines? Kit is only front, right? What pads are used?

I take it the brackets just relocate the stock caliper. How much $, where did you get them from and is there a rear kit also?

Yes, I upgraded to the ss lines and this was the front kit only.

This kit is a 13" rotor upgrade, comes with relocator for the stock calipers along with hawk hps pads. Thought about upgrading to the hp+ pads but was advised that they are noisy, no thanks. No other pads can be substituted and the kit cannot be bought w/out pads. I will probably upgrade to a pad with more bite and sell these. Kit was 1149 plus the ss lines, found them in the Stricktly Z mag . www.racingbrake.com
You can spend less depending on which rotors you choose, my natural tendency is "get the best offered". Total kit was 1600 for both but since your front does the majority of stopping, I stuck with those.
