05 6MT rotor/pad replacement (upgrade)

Is it worth it to get some aftermarket XD/Slotted rotors and brake pads, or just to keep the stop setup. I live in MA, and it can get very cold here in the winter. I was looking at these

and these

with pads from the same companys, respectivley. Is this a worthwhile upgrade? I do drive heavily occasionaly, and I would like a little better stopping power and not having to worry about heat so much.

Also, anyone with an 05 6MT, after about how many miles did your pads/rotors need replacing? I went through my 04 5AT brake pads in 9k miles, im at 6.4k in the 05 and I dont feel the brakes fading at all. Thanks a lot for the help

To my knowledge, no aftermarket pads or rotors are available for the 05's. Well, except for the Hawk HPS pads made for the M45. But frankly, I can't see how the HPS would be better then OE. Get the pads and rotors from everythingg35.com. They are inexpensive and available.

I changed pads (find my thread a couple weeks back) at around 18K or so. The pads had plenty of bite left.
